Disguise: Masks and Global African Art is now open at the Seattle Art Museum. This exhibit features contemporary works of art depicting the evolution of the mask and forms of disguise in 21st-century culture. We had an opportunity to see this wonderful show recently and highly recommend making your way to SAM. For the first time in the history of the U.S. Open, the Pacific Northwest will be the host for this annual golf tournament. Chambers Bay Golf Course located southeast of Seattle in University Place, is also the youngest course to host the event. Visitors from all over have come to see this prestigious competition. Yesterday was the kick off for the event with opening ceremonies where visitors were able to catch a glimpse of the U.S. Open Championship Trophy. Golfers can be seen this week exploring the course and prepping for championship rounds this Thursday, June 18th. Read the history of the Chambers Bay Course here. We have finally completed the final stage our room renovation at the Inn at the Market. Take a look at our newly remodeled rooms here! The inspiration for our new design is a modern, streamlined look that includes elements inspired by the Pacific Northwest including weathered hard wood floors, soft lighting, bright tile and reclaimed wood desks.
Located in the Atrium Floor of the Economy Building in Pike Place Market, the Atrium Kitchen is a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen open for chef demos, cooking classes, tastings and many other events. This weekend tickets are still available for the Pop-Up Dinner “One Night with a Copper River Salmon”, a cooking class with Britt’s Pickles and Nadine’s Gourmet Meals is offering a pop-up soul food dinner.
