On Saturday, August 28, join Tom Douglas from 5 – 8pm for a unique dining experience in Seattle’s Victor Steinbrueck Park while supporting the Pike Market Senior Center and Downtown Food Bank. Victor Steinbrueck Park is located at the north end of Pike Place Market…just a few minutes walk from Inn at the Market.
The “Salmon-chanted Evening” event features a hearty menu of delicious wild Pacific king salmon, fresh salads and dessert against the backdrop of Elliott Bay for only $15. The salmon supper is the first of what the organizing committee hopes to become a weekly tradition next summer and beyond in one of Downtown Seattle’s most scenic parks.
Up to 300 meals will be served and the event is first-come, first-serve with no ticket purchase necessary. Seating is available throughout the park so picnic blankets are recommended.
The salmon suppers are meant to be more than a simple social gathering in the park. By activating Victor Steinbrueck Park with compelling, community-oriented programs, the park and surrounding businesses receive benefits of added foot traffic, and added vibrancy.
The Pike Market Senior Center will also be providing free meals at its location in the market beginning at 4pm with support from Tom Douglas Restaurants and Starbucks Coffee Company. Leftovers from the salmon supper will also be donated to the Senior Center and the Food Bank it administers.
