Beat the heat and head to the Inn at the Market for one stop shopping happy hour!

We recently did a happy hour crawl at the Inn and found we didn’t have to travel far to experience great food and drinks.  Our first stop was in Post Alley at Cafè Campagne.  After perusing the impressive wine list, we chose a sparking Rosè that was perfectly refreshing in the hot summer weather.  To eat, we enjoyed the Petit Burger D’Agneau, Plate de Fromage, and Petite Tarte Flambèe.  With prices starting at $2, all bites were fabulous and paired perfectly with our Rosè.  We enjoyed watching the hustle and bustle of the market from the bar stools.  It indeed felt like a Parisian cafe, right her in Pike Place Market.

Next we headed upstairs to Marchè, tucked away inside the courtyard of the Inn.  While lounging on the plush couches in the bar, we did some mixology research.  Marchè offers specialty absinthe cocktails at happy hour prices, but we decided to try something from the main menu.  The Swifty 2.0 is a refreshing grapefruit mix on the rocks with gin and aperol.  The Pear Blossom martini was full flavored with pear brandy, St. Germain and lavender bitters.  We enjoyed the Farmer’s Board complete with cured meats, cheeses, house-made bread and pickles.  The cocktails were so impressive, we might have had two… and the Farmer’s Board offered the perfect interlude for our happy hour crawl.

We ended our feast at Chan with Korean beer, cocktails, and some shared plates.  We shared the Bulgogi Sliders, Spicy Pork Sliders, and Chili Caramel Glazed Chicken Wings.  The Kite beer was cold and refreshing and the Asian Pear martini was the perfect sweet accompaniment to the spicy Korean flavors.  The sliders are not to be missed, and at $3 each, you can have quite a feast without breaking the bank.
