September in Seattle
September is one of the most beautiful months in Seattle. Summer lingers and events abound. Unlike many Seattle hotels, Inn at the Market accommodates a variety of worldly guests, as well as locals spending a weekend downtown. In fact, Inn at the Market is one of those treasured hotels Seattle likes to call home. Located near the water in Pike Place Market, guests can simply relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of Seattle’s most interesting neighborhood or attend these or other great September events:
Bumbershoot – Sept. 1-3
Held at Seattle Center, Bumbershoot is North America’s largest urban arts festival. An eclectic music lineup includes Tony Bennett, M. Ward, The Jayhawks, Gotye, and Skrillex.
Blues for Food Fest – Sept. 1
An organic blues alternative to Bumbershoot, Blues for Food Fest is held in Magnuson Park and strives to raise awareness of community gardens and food bank gardens that voluntarily grow 40,000 pounds of organic produce for donation each year.
REI Seattle Wild & Scenic Film Festival – Sept. 19
This Festival features spectacular screenings of award-winning films about outdoor adventure, activism, wildlife, and nature. The event is held in REI Seattle, a Seattle sightseeing attraction in and of itself.
The Head and The Heart, The Shins – Sept. 15 and 22, respectively
These top indie bands play separately at the gorgeous Paramount Theatre, located in downtown Seattle, just blocks from Inn at the Market.
These are just a few of the many spectacular events taking place in Seattle this September.
