The Seattle Times calls the King Tut exhibit, “beautifully arrayed and lit,” adding that, “almost all the pieces have room enough to walk around them,” including “dazzling gold jewelry, masks, and personal items.”
Seattle is King Tut’s last North American appearance and Egypt has stated that the artifacts will then remain in Egypt indefinitely. This really could be your last chance to view these artifacts.

Inn at the Market is always looking for ways to enhance our guests’ experience and we are happy to report that we have installed new beds in our rooms for your ultimate sleeping comfort. The headboards and frames are custom, including new LED reading lights. The mattress is by Hypnos (only the best for the Queen of England and our guests!) and the bedding is by Sferra. We have also gone from a queen size to a king bed for most of our rooms. Not only do we have new beds, we have also added flat screen TV’s to all of our rooms, along with enhanced entertainment choices. More changes are planned for our Downtown Seattle Hotel in the coming year so stay tuned!!

Now through January 17, 2011, don’t miss the amazing opportunity to see Picasso, Masterpieces from the Musee National Picasso, Paris exhibit at Seattle Art Museum, two blocks from Inn at the Market. This is the first time this exhibit has been shown in the U.S., and Seattle is the first stop on the tour!
