So Much To Do in Seattle!

Over the years, Seattle has become known for its coffee, technology, airplanes, medical facilities, and homegrown retailers such as Starbucks, Amazon, Nordstrom, REI, Boeing, Microsoft, and Costco.  Culturally, our city boasts a world-class symphony, opera, ballet, outstanding museums and theatres, and an active music scene. Outdoor enthusiasts flock to Mt. Rainier, the Cascades, and the Olympics for mountain climbing , hiking, biking, skiing, and fishing.  The recreation and entertainment possibilities are endless.

When planning your trip to Seattle, the Inn at the Market stands ready to help guide you.  For scouting downtown, the hotel is an easy walking distance to art, music, theatre, shopping, as well as the city’s professional baseball and football stadiums.  Outside the downtown core, the city’s eclectic neighborhoods, acclaimed zoo, fish ladder, and boat locks in Ballard or the Seattle Center are easily accessible by public transportation, taxis, or rental and flex cars.  Should you choose not to ‘do-it-yourself’, a number of private tour operators stand ready to show you the sights!  Inn at the Market is conveniently located in the heart of it all, downtown in Pike Place Market.  A great starting place for your Seattle and Pacific Northwest getaway!

Watson Kennedy Featured in House Beautiful!

Congratulations to Watson Kennedy, located in the courtyard of Inn at the Market, for their feature in the May issue of House Beautiful! Here’s what our friends at Watson Kennedy had to say about the article:

“We are thrilled and honored to be part of the House Beautiful May issue, out on newsstands now!  Last Holiday season, Editor Stephen Drucker stopped by the shops. I have long been a fan of the magazine, and our beach house on Vashon Island was in a past international issue, so I was happy to see his smiling face.  His first question to me was “What is your favorite new thing?”  My immediate response was, “The destination signs!”  I spent a college term in London, and the signs bring back memories of my amazing time there.  When I was first approached about carrying the signs, I could not say yes fast enough.  I choose a grouping of Seattle neighborhoods, and we were off and running with our first custom sign.  Many, many more have been created for customers who want something truly unique and personal.”

We are overjoyed to have this fine establishment steps away from our downtown Seattle luxury hotel.
