We are excited to announce our new partnership with Antica Farmacista! This Seattle company produces some of the most luxurious bath and fragrance products on the market. Started by two Seattle based best friends, Susanne Pruitt and Shelley Callaghan, Antica Farmacista has grown from a small company selling locally, to an international line available at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman.
Our guest rooms now feature the Pompelmo (Grapefruit) line for our shampoo, conditioner, soap and body lotion! Enjoy on your next visit to the Inn at the Market!
The rumors are true! Shiro Kashiba, one time owner and namesake of Shiro’s sushi in Belltown, will be opening a new restaurant in the former Marché space located here in the courtyard of the Inn at the Market. Most locals think of Kashiba when they think sushi in Seattle. His culinary expertise dates back several decades and his influence on Seattle sushi is undeniable. The Stranger posted an article this spring about Kashiba’s departure from Shiro’s that gives a little back story on his current venture into Pike Place Market. Seattle Met sent the word out last night regarding the Pike Place Market Historical Commission approval of the new enterprise, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!
Details of the restaurant such as name, design and opening date are to be determined. We do know that Kashiba is planning on serving Edo, Tokyo-style sushi. The hope is that by summer of 2015, we will be offering sushi al fresco in our courtyard! Please check back with us and feel free to send your questions our way!
