Alaska Cruises

Alaska is the most popular destination of cruises departing from Seattle, and for good reason! As you follow the Inside Passage up to Alaska, you’ll be amazed at the stunning landscape lined with majestic glaciers, snow-capped mountains, and wildlife. Seven-day, round-trip cruises generally feature three or four ports of call, including Juneau, Sitka, Skagway or Ketchikan, and Victoria, B.C. as well as scenic cruising around Glacier Bay or Tracy Arm Fjord. Seven-day one-way cruises from Seattle venture into the Gulf of Alaska, reaching as far north as Seward. There are also longer cruises available (from 10-12 days) that allow for additional sightseeing.

Pacific Coast Cruises

Cruises that travel up the coast from Seattle to Canada, or down the West Coast of the United States are generally two to five days in duration, and while not quite as in demand as the Alaska cruises, they can be just as exciting and spectacular. These mini-cruises offered by Holland America, Royal Caribbean, and Princess are perfect for shorter getaways to must-see cities like Victoria, B.C., Vancouver, San Francisco, Astoria, and Monterey.

Longer Cruises

There are also a handful of cruises (more like epic voyages) departing from Seattle that head toward even more exotic scenes if you’re up for a longer trip. Cruise west to the Hawaiian Islands on Holland America’s 18-day Circle Hawaii, or on Royal Caribbean’s 21-night Transpacific Hawaii Cruise. Other cruises head south from Seattle, including Norwegian Cruise Line’s 18-day Panama Canal cruise or Holland America’s 24-day Inca Discovery cruise, which makes it all the way to Chile. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, there are even a few world cruises lasting 40-90 days.
