Inn at the Market What's New    What’s New Now!   Pike Place Market turns 100!!!   Happy Birthday to the Pike Place Market!!!  August 17, 1907, the Market opened and operated for the first time.  There have been many challenges to its existence over the many years since then but the people of Seattle (and especially the Inn at the Market) are delighted to be a part of the Market’s Centennial Celebration.  For more information on the history and happenings since the Market opened and for a schedule of Centennial Events including the Sunset Supper, please visit to the Market’s website.     What’s New for Summer 2007!   The Pigs are Back! The Pigs are Back!   In conjunction with the Pike Place Market turning 100 years old, the Market Foundation has brought the pigs back!  Just like in 2001, large and "artistically rendered" pigs are gracing the streets of Seattle.  Guides to where all the pigs are located are available.  There are also some great "swine-related" gift items available at the Centennial Store in the Market (near Read All About it).   The pigs will be auctioned off in the fall to raise money for the Foundation and the services it supports.  For more info, please go to Pigs on Parade.
